LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Suffolk, one of the most innovative and successful builders and real estate enterprises in the country, announced it hired Ken Summers as General Manager for Los Angeles. Mr. Summers will be responsible for working with Suffolk West Region President Tony Rango and the operations and functional teams to expand Suffolk’s presence in Los Angeles and the Southern California region. In his new role, Mr. Summers will drive the company’s regional business planning and development, market analysis and talent recruitment efforts.

Prior to joining Suffolk, Mr. Summers served in operations and preconstruction roles in the Southern California region for Webcor Builders, where he was responsible for projects and project pursuits in Los Angeles and San Diego. Mr. Summers worked for Webcor Builders for 24 years in a variety of roles from project management to superintendency to companywide executive leadership, providing strategy and direction while delivering numerous complex projects with the highest level of client satisfaction.

Mr. Summers has considerable experience leading teams on complex, sophisticated projects in the Southern California area, including The W Hollywood Hotel, 1600 Vine, Metropolis Phases I & II , 960 West 7th Street, New Century Plaza and L.A. LIVE. He has held leadership positions in the areas of operations, preconstruction, business development, employee training and engagement, client satisfaction and project delivery in the residential, hospitality, commercial, retail, end user and federal government sectors.

Mr. Summers holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from California State University Chico.
