NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dune Real Estate Partners LP, a leading New York-based real estate investment firm, today announced the continued expansion of its team.
To further build upon its expanding presence in the western region, two experienced investment professionals were added in the Los Angeles office. Dune has been actively investing in the western region since 2007, and continuing to build on this strong investment activity, on November 18, 2020, Dune closed on the acquisition of Fairways at Lowry, a well-located 450-unit multi-family asset in metro Denver that is well suited for repositioning.
Dune also announced the hiring of a seasoned business development professional and two investment associates in New York.
Five New Hires Bolster Investment Team and Business Development Capabilities
Bianca Tomkoria and Garrett Criden have joined Dune in Los Angeles as Vice President and Associate, respectively, of the investment team. Led by Aaron Greeno, the Los Angeles-based investment team is responsible for sourcing and executing transactions across the western United States.
Amar Jhaveri, CFA, CAIA, has joined Dune as Vice President – Capital Markets in New York. In this new role, Mr. Jhaveri will work closely with Julie Brenton, Head of Investor Relations, to identify, develop and support relationships within the institutional investor community.
Patrick Farrell and Irwin Tejeda are also joining Dune as Associates in New York to support the team’s investment activities.
These five new hires follow a series of promotions and additions to the senior leadership team that took place earlier this year. In February, Dune promoted Cia Buckley Marakovits to President & CIO and Eric Calder to Co-CIO. Aaron Greeno joined Dune in July and was appointed Head of West Coast.

Team Biographies
- Amar N. Jhaveri, CFA, CAIA, Vice President – Capital Markets. Prior to joining Dune, Mr. Jhaveri was a Vice President at Nuveen, where he built relationships across the institutional allocator and consultant community with a focus on real estate and real asset strategies. He was previously a Wealth Management Advisor at TIAA, where he developed tailored investment strategies for clients. Earlier in his career, he was a financial advisor at the United Nations Federal Credit Union and North Fork Financial Advisors. Mr. Jhaveri received an M.B.A. from the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University and a B.S. from the University at Buffalo – School of Management.
- Bianca Tomkoria, Vice President. Ms. Tomkoria is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and structuring new investment opportunities and executing value creation strategies at Dune. Prior to joining Dune, Ms. Tomkoria worked in Corporate Strategy and Development at Gap Inc., where she led acquisitions, divestitures and other strategic investment projects from 2018 to 2020. Before that, Ms. Tomkoria was an Associate at Oaktree Capital, where she focused on real estate equity and debt investments from 2014 to 2016. Ms. Tomkoria began her career as an Analyst at Morgan Stanley, where she supported real estate acquisitions and investment management activities from 2012 to 2014. Ms. Tomkoria received an M.B.A. from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2018 and a B.S. from the University of California, Berkeley in 2012.
- Garrett Criden (Associate, Los Angeles). Mr. Criden joined Dune from Savanna Real Estate Fund, and was previously an Analyst in the Commercial Real Estate Group at Deutsche Bank Securities.
- Patrick Farrell (Associate, New York). Mr. Farrell has joined Dune from L&L Holding Company, and was previously an Analyst at Blackstone in the Real Estate Debt Strategies Group.
- Irwin Tejeda (Associate, New York). Mr. Tejeda joins Dune from Goldman Sachs where he served as an Investment Banking Associate in the Public Sector and Infrastructure Group.
