Thayer Ventures Acquisition, a blank check company formed (latest so-called SPAC) by Thayer Ventures has filed preliminary prospectus to raise up to $175M in an initial public offering for a company focused on investing in primarily travel and transportation companies, on Nasdaq under the ticker (TVACU)
The company plans to offer 17.5M units at $10. Each unit consists of one common share and 1/2 warrant exercisable at $11.50, valuing the company at ~$219M.
Thayer Ventures Acquisition will be led by co-CEOs Mark Farrell, the former mayor of San Francisco, and Christopher Hemmeter, co-founder and managing director of Thayer Ventures.
