LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Husseini Group today announced the appointment of JL Pomeroy as Chief Executive Officer, effective March 15. Working closely with Founder and Managing Member, Ibrahim AlHusseini, Pomeroy will lead The Husseini Group’s efforts to invest in innovative ventures that benefit people and communities across the globe.

JL Pomeroy is a media executive, entrepreneur, and strategic advisor with 25 years of international experience in the luxury, media and entertainment technology sectors where she established a reputation as a brand builder and change agent. She serves as an advisor to FullCycle, a private equity firm that invests in companies accelerating solutions to the climate crisis.
Prior to joining The Husseini Group, Pomeroy was Chief Marketing Officer of IMAX Corporation (NYSE: IMAX), where she transformed the global marketing team into a strategic and revenue-driving division and was instrumental in IMAX hitting $1 billion global box office gross revenue in 2018 for the first time in its history. Pomeroy launched a game-changing brand campaign across 80 countries and 1,500 locations and produced a first-of-its-kind IMAX Brand Film with diverse representation on and offscreen, now playing in front of all IMAX movies globally.
Earlier, Pomeroy served as CEO of JumpLine Group, a brand activation agency she founded in 2002, with offices in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and London. Forging partnerships between entertainment properties and brand clients, JumpLine is the executive producer behind all aspects of the Costume Designers Guild Awards, growing it into the industry’s largest non-televised awards show with 2.5 billion press impressions in 2020.
In 2011, Pomeroy founded BehindTheLine Media, a company specializing in premium unscripted content. There she developed and produced “Live From New York!”— a documentary about 40 years of Saturday Night Live that premiered on opening night at the Tribeca Film Festival and was sold to NBC.
Pomeroy began her career at Cartier North America, where she spent a decade building a wholesale division as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. She also served as Publisher at Modern Luxury Media where she launched a high-end city magazine targeting luxury brand advertisers.

Pomeroy is a graduate of California State Polytechnic University, Pomona with a Bachelor of Science from the College of Business Administration in International Marketing. She earned a Sustainable Business Strategy Certification from Harvard Business Online.
Pomeroy advocates for organizations and causes that support gender equality, climate restoration and arts education. She is a board member emeritus of Step Up Women’s Network, an active member of Visionary Women and Tuesday nights in Los Angeles, and an inaugural member of the Guggenheim Technology & Innovation Council in New York.
