Compass Acquisition Partners Appoints John Fischer as MD

Compass Acquisition Partners (Compass) announced today that it has added John Fischer as managing director, asset management, bringing his extensive experience to the oversight of the firm’s multifamily property portfolio.

“John is an accomplished real estate professional whose experience, strong track record and approach to the evolving multifamily industry are an ideal fit as we continue to expand our investments,” said Compass CEO Lynn Owen.

Compass currently has a portfolio of approximately $2 billion of multifamily and retail assets located in select markets along the West Coast, Colorado and Wyoming. A fully-integrated real estate investment firm, it is actively seeking acquisition opportunities as it pursues a carefully crafted and implemented program to expand its portfolio with a particular interest in well-located multifamily properties in mature markets.

As Managing Director at Compass, Fischer will lead the development of best in class practices to ensure the execution of strategic and creative business plans that enhance value and contribute to better communities, happier residents, and strong returns.

Most recently Fischer was Managing Director at TruAmerica where he oversaw the California region of 74 multifamily assets totaling over 11,000 units. Previously he was an asset manager at Highridge Costa Investors and an asset manager at AIMCO.

Fischer received his bachelors degree in economics from Claremont McKenna College. He is an active participant in the real estate industry, and he has been an advisor to the National Apartment Association as well as other industry leaders.
