Instagram has over 1 billion active monthly users. In addition to the sheer number of users on the platform, Instagram is a powerful force for brands looking to find new customers. In fact, over 60% of all Instagram users have found new products on the platform.

Instagram gives B2C companies an incredible opportunity to boost their reach and strengthen sales.

As the co-founder and president of Big Crowd Media, I’ve seen brands transform overnight by growing their Instagram following. Thanks to my wife and co-founder, Tiffany, Big Crowd Media created a network of Instagram influencers to grow brands through the power of celebrity.

But I know that celebrity endorsements need motivation and momentum behind them. That’s why I help our clients tap into Instagram’s true potential with high-powered Instagram loop campaigns.

I’ve seen brands go from 100 followers to 16,000 followers overnight, spiking their web traffic and product orders over a period of a few days.

While you still need high-quality organic Instagram posts, sometimes brands need an extra boost. Put the power of celebrity to task to grow your brand through Instagram loops.

What are loop campaigns?

Loop campaigns are a type of Instagram giveaway campaign. Instagram users enter the giveaway by following a high number of Instagram accounts. Generally speaking, loop campaigns ask users to follow upwards of 40+ accounts to enter.

Of course, to make up for the large number of accounts they need to follow, loop campaigns give away huge prizes in exchange. In other words, the more accounts you ask users to follow, the better the prize needs to be.

It’s common for brands to give away thousands in cash, designer clothing, or high-end electronics in a loop campaign.

Loop campaigns work for brands because they help you reach a much larger audience. By pooling resources with a celebrity influencer and other participating brands, you’re able to reach thousands of Instagram users with just one post.

The benefits of loop campaigns

Whether you have a new Instagram account and want to boost your followers or just need to grow your existing account, loop campaigns make the magic happen.

Back in May of 2019, Kylie Jenner gave away luxury accessories and cash in a loop campaign. To enter, users had to follow all of the accounts that Scott Disick was following on Instagram (to the tune of 70 accounts total).

Estimates say that participating brands got 230,000 new followers, a ton of web traffic, and incredible spikes in product orders.

The Kardashians famously popularized loop campaigns, but other influencers and brands have used this campaign strategy too. From Real Housewives to YouTube stars, everyone’s getting in on Instagram loop campaign giveaways.

I’ve seen similar results for Big Crowd Media’s loop campaign clients.

Thanks to our recent partnership with Amber Rose, brands promoted themselves to thousands of new followers. Our clients went from getting 70 likes per post to over 600. One account got 16,000 followers in just three days.

It’s clear to me that loop campaigns are a fast and effective way to boost your Instagram following. But do loop campaigns work as a long-term growth strategy? Let’s pop the hood to see if a loop campaign is right for your brand.

Is a loop campaign right for my brand?

I would argue that most brands benefit from Instagram loop campaigns. However, there are three factors to consider if you’re thinking about participating in a loop campaign.

1.Cost

You’ll need a budget to participate in loop campaigns, especially if you want to work with celebrity influencers.

There isn’t a standard price structure for loop campaigns because it really depends on the celebrity, the number of brands participating, and the giveaway itself.

You can expect to spend at least several thousand dollars to participate. But don’t balk at the price tag. The right Instagram loop campaign will not only give you positive ROI, but increase your lifetime value (LTV) per customer.

2.Audience

I wouldn’t recommend doing a super general Instagram loop campaign. Selling with the Kardashians might get you a ton of followers, but remember that the goal is to bring in engaged, interested followers who will want to buy from you at some point.

Loop campaigns are an amazing investment provided you’re attracting the right audience.

Make sure you niche down to find the correct celebrity influencer for your loop campaign. Choose someone who’s popular, trusted, and relevant to your target audience.

Remember, relevance is key in all areas of marketing, Instagram included. If it isn’t relevant, you won’t see as much return on your campaign spend.

3.Agency

Don’t try doing an Instagram loop campaign alone! These campaigns have a lot of moving parts. Plus, it’s difficult to connect with high-level celebrity influencers if you don’t have an existing relationship.

The right agency can take care of all the planning for you, including connecting with celebrities.

Safeguard your brand reputation and get more results more quickly by partnering with a reputable agency. Big Crowd Media makes sure all of our campaigns connect participating brands with relevant influencers that create loyal, lifelong customers, not just passive followers.

The bottom line

Remember, Instagram loop campaigns aren’t about paying for followers. Like any other marketing acquisition technique, it’s about engaging with your audience to forge lasting relationships.
