New addition positions JCA for significant growth in the multifamily investment market

James Capital Advisors (JCA), a commercial real estate brokerage and advisory firm specializing in multifamily and net lease properties, has expanded its multifamily division with a team whose combined sales volume exceeds $1.5 billion. The new team, led by senior directors, Mike Hanassab and Elliot Hassan, will further develop the firm’s flourishing multifamily division throughout Southern California.

In addition to Hanassab and Hassan, the new multifamily team includes, Senior Associate John Katnik, Associate Danny Spiwak, and Marketing Assistant Marcelo Perez.

Hanassab and Hassan began working together in 2004 at Sperry Van Ness, where they developed expertise in underwriting, strategic marketing, and 1031 exchanges. Their partnership took them to Marcus & Millichap in 2008, where they built their current team and remained until their move to JCA. In addition to their sales volume, the team possesses an unmatched knowledge of the Los Angeles apartment market as well as a deep understanding of the entire transactional process. The new team will begin expanding JCA’s reach into the greater Los Angeles apartment market. Initially, this expansion will be driven by business development submarkets such as the San Fernando Valley and the South Bay. Territories will be overseen by a team member with niche expertise in their respective markets with the goal of rapid expansion into 2020.
