The AIA|LA Restaurant Design awards have been running for 15 years in Los Angeles. Among its most prestigious awards are the two Honor Awards, one which has been scooped by Auburn restaurant in Los Angeles.

These awards are designed to honor and celebrate the most prominent restaurants, bars, cafes, and lounges in Los Angeles. Not only are the owners recognized, but the designers involved in sprucing up the space are celebrated. The panel of judges includes chefs, foodies, and marketing gurus. Executive AIA members are also part of the panel.
How Did Auburn Land Among the Ultimate Winners?
Auburn restaurant is considered to be LA’s newest dining star—and the judges agree. The restaurant managed to impress the judges with a space that delivers a welcoming ambience to the customers. ORA and Klein Agency are the brains behind the stunning design and furnishings found in the restaurant.
The general ambience in the room gives off a traditional feel. Featuring a custom range of furnishings made of superior quality materials, the place definitely offers patrons a unique dining experience. Owners acknowledged playing their part in keeping the furnishings in perfect condition through regular maintenance.
The main dining space is designed to give a clear view of the sky thanks to the five large incisions in the wooden ceiling of the patio. Though the design and ambience exude exclusivity and uniqueness, it still leaves guests feeling relaxed and comfortable.
Moving on to the menu, Auburn restaurant is designed to cater to small or large group dinners as well as individual patrons. The main dining room patio can accommodate up to 40 guests, which is quite impressive.
Auburn offers a full course dinner giving their guests the liberty to select their desired menu. Patrons can also meet for a casual drink at the bar which offers a wide variety of cocktails and wines. Chief Eric Bost is the man behind the tasty dishes Auburn has to offer. With many accolades under his belt, it’s not surprising that the food managed to impress the judges.

As mentioned earlier, these annual AIA|LA restaurant design awards are open to all restaurant owners and their spots that are located in the US. Other terms for eligibility include:
- All restaurant projects must have been completed in the last four years.
- The spots must have been open to the public.
- There’s no limit to the number of restaurants you can submit.
